Light/Tech/Shoot/Retouch

Called in by production to shoot stills of a couple new meals while they wrap up the video portion. For each shot we used 6 heads. One D2 on the background, two Profoto heads for the edges powered by a Profoto 8A, one profoto head powered by another 8A as the key, one Profoto Zoom Spot also plugged in to it’s own 8A, and a Bronocolor Pico light with spot adapter. Everything was shot on a Canon 5D mkiv and tethered to the Common Kit: a 27” display and Macbook Pro on a Inovativ Scout 37. Scrims skinned with a variety of Lee diffusion to shape the light.

MBP for me and whoever’s watching over my shoulder and an iPad Pro on magic arm for the photographer and stylist to see what’s happening. All riding on a DigiPlate Pro with Hood mounted to a Gitzo Tripod and powered by a 230Wh Gold Mount Battery (ALL DAY) and backed up a 2x G-Tech SSDs
